Regulation Taking Back Seat at Registrar of Contractors

Recent comments and actions by the new director of the Registrar of Contractors are raising concerns that regulation and enforcement are becoming less stringent under the new administration.

Jeff Fleetham took over as the agency’s director with the support of industry groups that favor a gentler hand when it comes to regulation and enforcement. Gov. Doug Ducey, who appointed Fleetham in February, has made deregulation a cornerstone of his administration.

But some are concerned that Fleetham has gone too far.   read more


SACA Awards Scholarship to First Female Recipient

The Southeastern Arizona Contractors Association is pleased to announce the first female SACA scholarship recipient -  Hope Struse!  

Hope is planning on seeking a welding certificate, and becoming a commercial welder.  

Hope’s interest started when her dad showed her “the basics on a MIG welder”.  Read More
