SACA Newsletter - June 2015

May meeting continued:  

For 29 years, Project Graduation has offered their events free to graduates due to community support! Kudos to Project Graduation for providing a safe place for graduates to celebrate!
Tait Wilcox, Safety chair, also announced upcoming free CPR Classes in July. Free to SACA Members only!
Mike Rutherford, ROC Stakeholder, updated us on the new ROC Director, and the possibility of the ROC Advisory Council being eliminated.
Our new member, Brenner's Roofing was also announced!
Mr. Fix it was awarded the Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year! If you get a chance, congratulate Bill!

Joy Dalesio continued:  

She began her law enforcement career in Northern Arizona working with the Williams Police Department then was hired by the Arizona Department of Public Safety assigned to the Highway Patrol division where she worked in Yuma before transferring to Sierra Vista in 1996.  While with the AZ DPS, she was a Field Training Instructor and held specialized positions in the areas of Collision Reconstruction, Terrorism, Hostage Negotiations, and Media Relations.  She has received numerous awards and commendations throughout her career.  

Joy joined the Arizona Registrar of Contractors’ team in July 2014.  She handles cases in Cochise, Graham, Greenlee counties along with parts of Pima and Maricopa Counties. Her focus is on unlicensed entities. 

Joy has three children who all have, or currently are serving in the US Armed Forces.  Her son, Michael Davenport, served 5 years in the US Army and did 9 months in Afghanistan where he worked as an HVAC technician.  He has recently returned to Sierra Vista. Her daughter, Kyla Davenport, currently serves in the US Air Force stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX and works as a medic.  Her daughter, Lisa Rambharack, currently serves in the US Air Guard assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson and works as a medic. 

Joy is married to Mike Dalesio who is enjoying retirement and daily tennis matches.
