General Membership Meeting - Open to the public.  Lunch is $15.00 at the door.

Our speaker for July is Michael Ortega, Cochise County Administrator.  Mr. Ortega joined the County in 2007.  He is a Cochise County native and has served as a city manager.  He also has served as the Arizona state engineer assistant director for the Department of Transportation, where he utilized his civil engineering degree to lead the inter-modal transportation division, overseeing 6,700 miles of state highways. He also holds a degree in business administration and attended the Harvard University Executive Program for senior executives in state and government.

The County Administrator manages the day-to-day operations of the County; implements policies and programs approved by the Board of Supervisors; acts as a liaison between the Board Of Supervisors and the external departments (i.e. Judicial System, Treasurer, Assessor, etc.) and has direct supervision over the internal departments.  One of the main functions of the County Administrator is to develop and implement a 130 million dollars budget.  Please join us as Mr. Ortega shares his insight on the future of Cochise County, as well as current concerns.
